Intent Based Networking in the ISP Industry
Intent-based networking seems to be like an algorithmic based type of network configuration. Think AI art tools like Dall-E, Midjourney, or Stable Diffusion.
Some weeks ago, I was amazed when I realized that someone had tried to instruct OpenAI to configure an access list for a Cisco device.
This is literally what Intent-Based Networking as used in Enterprises feels like. You define your policy or sometimes referred to as your intent, and then the device gets configured.

In Networking Field Day Service Provider 2, Chris Cumming, spoke about how the Internet Service Provider he works at uses Intent Based Networking.
What I love about this architecture above is this, no matter the configuration intent you specify, it can be provisioned across any vendor device.
